Baby Footprints - The Many Faces
Baby footprints are simply an excellent way of ensuring that your guests are blown away with sheer cuteness upon opening the card. No one can resist that cute little baby foot right on the invitation, it simply isn’t possible.
Even better, you can have a lot of fun designing the card with many different methods for implementing the baby footprint onto the invitation. You can utilize prints, stamps, cutouts, or even embossing.
Printing involves sketching a baby footprint onto the card in the original design and then having that design copied into the rest of your cards. It is an excellent way of leaving a fun, light look to the card as you shouldn’t worry about the footprint looking perfect, but just to have fun and be colorful with it.
Stamping involves using a simple ink and stamp set obtained from a crafts store or on the internet and stamping in cute little baby footprints throughout the card or doing something creative like using them for a colorful border.
A card cut out can be deliciously cute when you have the card itself cut designed in a large baby footprint for mailing. Finally, embossing can be done either by yourself with embossing powder or can be done at a print shop. You can have the picture of the baby’s foot “lifted” off of the card and given a 3-D look by utilizing a well-done embossment.
